Welcome! Each piece of jewelry and accessory is handcrafted by Florida-based artisan - Leila (well - with the exception of the clothing and soft furnishings - I didn't sew those!)
I've been an avid arts and crafter since I was young but I am usually too busy to sell my creations as I also own a travel agency that specializes in Europe and culinary vacations (Eat Drink Vacations). Due to the Covid-19 pandemic I've had a lot of extra time on my hands as people aren't traveling as much right now. So I'm making lemonade out of lemons - or jewelry out of polymer clay!
I've been making jewelry for myself and family/friends since I was a preteen (remember those "friendship" bracelets? Yeah - that was me!) I then discovered beads when I was in high school and that became my medium of choice for years. I still have some of my first necklaces that I ever made (that I'll never part with now!)
I started working with polymer clay when my niece requested earrings for her Halloween costume (radish earrings for Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter). I started off with a sampler pack of clay and some basic tools, and I was immediately hooked. There's SO MUCH you can do with polymer clay that it can be overwhelming. So far, I've made a ton of jewelry but also fairy houses, coasters, small dishes, pencil holders and more. It is addicting, for sure. And I'm glad to have the time to play with it and see what else I can come up with.
Each piece is unique and one-of-a-kind. I'm continuing to learn new techniques on a weekly basis. I strive to offer quality products that hopefully will bring you as much joy to wear and show-off as they were to make.
